As I travel through the seasons of my life, I find precious memories in each one.  I think of childhood, teen angst, college, career concerns, looking for love, becoming a wife and mother and now, enjoying them all. These memories blend together in my mind like the multi-colored leaves I see on the horizon in this beautiful state called Michigan. 
                I know first-hand what it’s like to live in other states in the west and south. I’ve been to many parts of the world. Clothing and shoe giveaway needs community donations

Donations for the bi-annual Free Clothing and Shoes Giveaway will be accepted 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through March 23 and 10 a.m.-noon this Saturday and March 20 at New Providence Baptist Church, 18211 Plymouth Road, Detroit.

 
Schoolcraft College to host Kids on Campus program

The Kids on Campus Open House, presented by the Schoolcraft College of Continuing Education and Professional Development department, will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College, 18600 Haggerty Road, Livonia.
